Makar Sankranti in Mhow
---------------------------------------
Flying kites and the festival of Makar Sankranti are synonymous. Here are some images I clicked in Mhow on the 14th and 15th of January 2008

(I'll probably waste my entire work day just going through your blog!)
When The Kite Runner came out, everyone in the US was amazed by it.
People were actually surprised that the Sakranti kite games happen in India too (such is the extent of world knowledge here)
To me, certain parts of the book reminded me of this very day. Running around after cut kites, bruised knees, cut hands, and the glory of snagging a kite.
Another thing I miss about being in India.
